The High School students of George Knott School has once again set-off for a fishing event at Stone Lake last April 13, 2018 under the supervision of high school teachers and staff spearheaded by Keith Ranville,
Randy Harper, Sylvia Harper, Donna Wood, May Escudero, Butch Rabasto, Solomon Harper, and Nathan Knott. The group was ferried by 2 school buses up to the graveyard, after which, they have to walk for another 10-15 minutes
off to Stone Lake where the fishing venue is to be held.
It was a sunny morning. The group arrived at the place at around 9:45 AM and everyone was excited to participate in the event. This year, we have added more fun by playing games while waiting for whoever among the
students will come up and present the fishes caught. As usual, we started a bon fire to keep us warm and at the same time, for grilling our hotdogs, smokies, and buns for lunch. By noon, the students enjoyed a hearty
lunch and one of the students caught a jackfish.
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing games and the winners got cash rewards. By 2:00 PM, there were 5 jackfish caught and the winners for the longest fish caught, the most fish caught, amd the smallest fish
caught got their prize money.
The group went back to the school at 2:30 PM and everyone was filled with their unforgettable memories of fun and camaraderie that strengthened the bond they share as students of George Knott School.
Looking forward for another event such as this next year.
Special thanks to our principal, Adam Knott, vice principal, Leslie Harper, and all the teachers and admin staff for their wholehearted support in making this memorable event possible.
